Our commitment

Hypha Ltd is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of disability, assistive technology, or browsing context. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

We recognise our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010, which requires us to make reasonable adjustments to avoid putting disabled people at a substantial disadvantage.

Measures we have taken

This site has been built with accessibility in mind from the outset. Specific measures include:

  • Semantic HTML: Content is structured using appropriate HTML5 landmark elements (<header>, <main>, <footer>, <nav>) and heading hierarchy to aid screen-reader navigation.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements, navigation links, form fields, buttons, and the cookie consent controls, are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone, in a logical tab order.
  • Visible focus styles: Focusable elements display a clearly visible lime-green focus ring (meeting WCAG 2.2 AA contrast requirements for focus indicators) when navigated to via keyboard.
  • Skip to content link: A "Skip to content" link is the first focusable element on every page, enabling keyboard and screen-reader users to bypass repeated navigation.
  • Colour contrast: Text and interactive element colours have been chosen to meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
  • Reduced-motion support: All CSS animations and transitions are disabled for users who have indicated a preference for reduced motion via their operating system settings (prefers-reduced-motion: reduce).
  • Responsive layout: The site responds to a range of screen sizes and zoom levels without loss of content or functionality.
  • Alternative text: Images that convey information carry appropriate alternative text descriptions. Decorative images are marked accordingly.
  • Form accessibility: All form inputs are associated with visible labels and include appropriate ARIA attributes where needed.

Known limitations

This website is newly launched and is actively being assessed against WCAG 2.2 AA. We have not yet conducted a formal independent accessibility audit. As a result, there may be issues we are not yet aware of.

We are committed to identifying and addressing any issues as they are discovered. If you encounter a problem, please let us know using the contact details below.
